At SSIS, Sector 28, Chandigarh, we provide a range of learning support activities and facilities to involve students and help them to not just cope but to assimilate concepts and apply them effectively. We believe that every student is unique and must get the opportunity to develop the skills and abilities required to achieve their personal ambitions and dreams. To begin with, we have a well-equipped library that contains a variety of text books, reference books, digital resources (like audio books), recreational reading materials, etc., to support the diverse learning needs of all students. We also offer special education services for students with special needs.
The School Counsellor as well as the Special Educator plays an active part by coordinating with the teachers to address the learning challenges that any student may be facing. We even go further and provide remedial classes to help students who may be lagging behind. In addition, we offer a range of enrichment programmes aimed at developing students’ vocational skills and reinforcing learning in a fun and engaging way.
We ensure that every student (and parent) gets regular feedback on performance.We also carry out 3rd party diagnostic assignments to enable our student's performance. There are several Olympiads too that help assess students’ competencies in Science, Mathematics, Computers, English, Environmental Care etc. These myriad assessment opportunities help us identify the appropriate learning support required and provide timely interventions to ensure superior results.
