The final of the 13th Saint Soldier Football Tournament 2025 marked the grand culmination of a five-day sporting event hosted by Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 14 leading school teams across the Tricity, offering a vibrant display of skill, discipline, and team spirit. The finale celebrated not just competition but camaraderie, as the host team secured a well-deserved victory over St. John’s High School, Sector 26, Chandigarh, lifting the championship trophy amidst cheers and pride. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Raj Pal Singh Hundal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Patiala Range, as the Chief Guest. A former captain of the Indian National Hockey Team and recipient of the Arjuna Award, SSP Hundal’s inspiring presence added prestige to the event.Also in attendance were the school’s esteemed dignitaries-Chairman Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh Hayer, Director Mr. Jagwinderpal Singh Hayer, Adviser Ms. Vijaya Sidhu, and Principal Ms. Anisha Ghuman. The Chief Guest, SSP Raj Pal Singh Hundal, inspired the young players and students with his motivating and wise words, encouraging them to pursue excellence with dedication, discipline and integrity.

In an exciting final match, SSIS emerged victorious with a 1–0 win.The only and decisive goal came in the 27th minute, scored by Kartikey, sealing the triumph for the host team on their home ground. During the prize distribution ceremony, the Best Defender award was presented to Abhimanyu, while Jobanpreet was honoured as the Best Goalkeeper for his remarkable contributions throughout the tournament. The Best Scorer title was awarded to Kartikey, who showcased exceptional skill by scoring six goals. All these individual honours were claimed by the host team, adding to the pride and glory of their tournament victory. The Runner-Up Trophy was awarded to St. John’s High School, while the jubilant SSIS team lifted the Winners Trophy amidst loud cheers and celebration. The final match was also attended by alumni of the school, who returned to support their alma mater and added to the event’s festive atmosphere.The Saint Soldier Football Tournament once again reaffirmed its place as a premier platform promoting youth talent, sportsmanship and teamwork.
