Children’s Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Saint Soldier International School to honour the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, who believed in nurturing young minds for a brighter future. The day was marked by a range of vibrant activities, ensuring an engaging and memorable experience for all students.
The primary wing witnessed a lively stage presentation conducted by their teachers. The programme began with an inspiring thought 'Thought for the Day,' presented by Ms. Neerja followed by an inspiring speech by Ms. Nindia, highlighting the importance of children in shaping the nation’s future. A melodious group song was led by Ms. Kavita and her team. Next, a classical dance performance was presented by Ms. Priya and Ms. Kavita Kumari that brought an air of grace and tradition to the celebration. The highlight was a captivating Giddha performance by the teachers, which celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Punjab and left the audience enthralled.
For the senior students, teachers planned an array of fun games and classroom activities, fostering camaraderie and a spirit of enjoyment. The students participated wholeheartedly, making the celebrations lively and interactive.
The event concluded with the national anthem, leaving everyone inspired by Pandit Nehru’s famous words: “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country.”
