The students of Saint Soldier International School showcased commendable sporting spirit and determination at the CBSE Football Cluster XVI Tournament, organised by MD Public School, Kaithal.
Competing against nearly 60 teams in the Under-19 category, the school’s Under-19 football team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament. In the semi-final, the team registered a convincing 4–0 victory, displaying excellent coordination, skill and tactical play.
In the final, the team faced PM Shri School, Hisar. After a closely contested encounter, PM Shri School, Hisar secured the title through a penalty shootout, winning 3–2. The Saint Soldier team thus proudly secured the Silver Medal in the Under-19 category.
The Under-17 team also put up a spirited performance, reaching the quarter-finals.
A total of 18 players represented the school across the teams, demonstrating remarkable teamwork, discipline, perseverance and sportsmanship.
School Principal Ms Anisha Ghuman congratulated the players and coaches on their commendable performance and wished them continued success in their future sporting endeavours.
