Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28B, Chandigarh, celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm under the inspiring theme ‘The Journey of Freedom’. The celebration, presented by the students of Class 4, was a heartfelt tribute to the courage, sacrifices and spirit of the freedom struggle, while also highlighting the responsibilities of citizens in building a stronger nation. The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries. The alumni Batch Captains also joined the celebrations and added a special sense of pride to the event. Inspiring speeches, patriotic poems and yoga performances added to the vibrant atmosphere. The highlight of the programme was a patriotic skit titled ‘The Path of Duty: The True Meaning of Freedom’, which conveyed the powerful message that sincere performance of one’s duties is the true expression of patriotism. The celebrations then moved towards India’s vibrant cultural heritage with energetic dance performances portraying the diverse traditions and cultural richness of the nation. Principal Ms Anisha Ghuman expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the celebration memorable.
