As part of an ongoing International Youth Exchange Programme, Saint Soldier International School proudly participated in the Virtual Model United Nations (MUN) organized by Yang Mei Senior High School, Taiwan. Inspired by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 2024 in Azerbaijan, the event focused on Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Change. Delegates from six schools across Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Turkey, and India represented 50 countries, engaging in thought-provoking discussions on critical climate issues. Topics included phasing out fossil fuels, equitable financial support for developing nations, and creating robust climate plans.
Representing countries such as Slovakia, Jamaica, India, New Zealand, and Uganda, Saint Soldier students—Chhavi, Ridhi Jindal, Ishnoor Kaur, Samya Goel, and Anhadreet Kaur—displayed exceptional knowledge and eloquence. Their performances stood out, earning Ishnoor Kaur the Best Position Paper award for her representation of India and Chhavi the Best Inquirer award for her insightful role as Slovakia’s delegate. This achievement highlights the school’s dedication to fostering global awareness and leadership skills, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to critical global challenges like climate change. Principal Ms Anisha Ghuman appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers incharge Ms Diksha Sood and Ms Ambika.
