A 7-Day NSS Camp was held at school. This year’s themes for the Camp were ‘Road Safety and Swach Bharat’ to follow and nurture the ideology of NSS in a manner that ensures meaningful participation of all stakeholders. Special initiatives, lectures and activities were undertaken during the Camp to foster social responsibility among young NSS volunteers.

The School NSS Unit worked on and off the campus with great enthusiasm and zeal. The inauguration day saw a special assembly replete with powerpoint presentations, speeches and songs, hosted by the children depicting the importance of NSS. A workshop was conducted by Traffic Police Chandigarh highlighting the importance of following traffic rules and regulations. The resource person S.I Balwinder Singh and Sr. Constable Rajiv presented videos depicting the horrors of not maintaining traffic rules and guided the children about proper usage of traffic signs.

During the Camp, NSS students conducted a rally on Road Safety. They also conducted activities in the NSS adopted village at Hallo Majra by generating awareness about waste segregation, installing of blue and green dustbins and proper waste disposal. Sensitisation programmes on sanitation and hygiene were also carried out.
