The Champion team Saint Soldier International School, Sec 28 B, Chandigarh lifted the coveted 9th Saint Soldier Trophy by winning the match 1-0 against Ryan International School, Sec 49 Chandigarh. Captain Arnav Rana netted the lone goal in the 35th minute of the match. Three days of great sport and beautiful festivities saw 12 highly competitive teams from the tricity vying for the prestigious trophy from 17th May to 19th May. The Closing Ceremony and awards presentation for the tournament was done by Chief Guest, Chairman Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh Hayer and Directors Mr. Jagwinder Pal Singh Hayer and Amarinder Pal Singh Hayer. Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu congratulated the Finalist teams and coaches for their brilliant performance. The winning team was awarded with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. The Runner up team was given a Runner up trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 6000. The members of both the teams were given individual trophies. Captain Arnav Rana, Sanchit and Kapil of Saint Soldier team were felicitated with Best Player, Best Scorer and Best Goalkeeper of the tournament. Harman Gulati of Ryan International School, Sec 49, Chandigarh was given the Best Defender award. The coaches Mr. Sudhir Saini and Mr. Vijay Thakur were presented with a cash prize of Rs. 1000 each.

Cricket players Gagan Verma, Class XI and Madhav Sharma, Class VII performed brilliantly at District and State level Tournaments. Gagan Verma was a part of the Punjab State Team in Vijay Merchant Trophy U -16. He presented an outstanding performance in 6 innings by amassing a total of 333 runs. He scored an unbeaten knock of 152 runs with 23 fours at Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium in Delhi. As a wicket keeper he had 27 dismissals. In this tournament Punjab State team won the final and lifted the Vijay Merchant Trophy U 16 against UP. The final match was played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Madhav Sharma, Class VII was selected to represent Chandigarh in the Inter District Cricket Tournament U-14 organised by Punjab Cricket Association. The team won the final against Amritsar team. Madhav scored 20 runs while batting first down in the semi final of the tournament against Mohali.

The Athletics Team of Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28 B Chandigarh brought laurels to the school by winning Silver medals in the 4 X 400 Relay Race in the Senior Girls Category of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports held at Sports Authority of India Stadium, Kandivili East, Mumbai. A total of 7 top qualifying teams from different cities participated in the national event after winning the city level competitions. Under the able guidance of Athletics Coach Mr. Surinder Pal Singh, the Girls Team consisting of Harmanpreet Kaur, Pallavi Gautam, Stanzin and Sanskriti Gera bagged silver medals in the Championship. Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu applauded the hard work, dedication and team spirit of all the players and congratulated them and the Coach on their success.

The Athletics Team of Saint Soldier International School emerged victorious by lifting the overall Senior Girls Championship Trophy and bagging 10 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze medals in the Senior and Junior Category of the Reliance Athletics Competition 2017 organised by Reliance Foundation Youth Sports at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh on 20 and 21 December 2017. The Senior Girls Team was awarded Best School Team.

Brahmrishi Yoga Training College, Sector 19 A, Chandigarh had organized an Inter School Yoga Asana Competition. Schools from the tricity participated. In the individual category Ridhi Rana Class V B has won the Gold Medal and Ayush Class IX A has won Bronze Medal.

Gurleen Kaur of Class IX C has won Bronze Medal in Chandigarh State Taekwondo Championship which was held at St. Joseph Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh on 11 July 2017 and 12 July 2017.

Inter-School Football tournament organised by Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28 B, Chandigarh culminated with the host team lifting the 8th Saint Soldier Trophy 2017 by beating Shishu Niketan Model Sr. Sec. School, Sec 22 Chandigarh by 1-0 in a thrilling final held today at the school ground. It was a hard fought match. Rohan Mehta striker of Saint Soldier Intl. School dribbled the ball inside Shishu Niketan penalty area many times but couldn’t score a goal as the defense line of Shishu Niketan gave a very tough fight. Finally Gaurav of the host school penetrated the defense field in the 58th minute to score the lone goal of the match. The winning school team lifted the Trophy with Rohan Mehta bagging the Best Player of the tournament. Govind from Shishu Niketan School, Sec 22 was awarded the Best Goalkeeper. The match was presided over by Chairman, Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh Hayer who distributed the prizes. Directors, Mr. Jagwinder Pal Singh Hayer and Mr. Amarinder Pal Singh Hayer and Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu warmly welcomed the gathering.

Harmanpreet Kaur of Saint Soldier International School participated in CBSE Athletics Nationals 2016-17 organised by Urmi School and Hostel, Vadodara (Gujarat) from 26 December 2016 to 30 December 2016 and won the Gold Medal in Long Jump.

The Athletics team of Saint Soldier International School kept the sports flame ablaze by winning a total of 25 Gold, 12 Silver and 8 Bronze Medals in the Inter-School State Athletic Meet 2016-17 organised by Education Department, Chandigarh at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh from 28 to 30 November 2016. More than 900 Athletes from 80 schools participated in this mega event. The Girls Athletic team emerged at the top by winning the overall Girls Championship Trophy. In U-14 Girls, Gurleen Kaur won a Gold Medal in Shot-put. Arshpreet Kaur won Silver Medals in 100 M and 200 M Race. The 4 x 100 M Relay team of Arshpreet, Navneet, Muskan and Taniya won the Gold Medal. In U-17 Girls, Ashitha Rao won Gold Medal in 100 M Race and Silver Medal in 200 M and Long Jump. Anmoldeep Kaur won Gold Medal in Discus Throw and Silver Medal in Shot-put. The 4 x 100 M Relay team of Pallawi, Tanvir, Stanzin and Ashitha Rao won the Bronze Medal. In U-19 Girls, Harmanpreet Kaur won Gold Medal in 400 M, Long Jump and Triple Jump. Harpreet Kaur won Silver Medal in 1500 M and 800 M. The relay team of Harmanpreet Kaur, Jasmeet, Tarandeep and Shivani Beniwal won Gold in 4 x 100 M Relay race and Silver Medal in 4 x 400 M Relay Race. Shikha Thakur won Gold Medal in Shot-put and Silver Medal in Javelin Throw. In U-19 Boys, Vikramjeet won Gold Medal in 400 M and 800 M Race. The Relay team of Vikramjeet, Mohit, Aarmanbir and Rohan won Gold Medal in 4 x 100 M and 4 x 400 Relay Race.

Saint Soldier Athletics team bagged overall championship trophy in under-19 Boys and under-19 Girls CBSE Cluster XVIII Athletics Tournament 2016-17 organised by PML SD Public School, Chandigarh from 4 November to 7 November 2016. Runner-up Trophy for Saint Soldier Football team in CBSE Football Cluster XVIII 2016-17 which was held at DAV Public School, Hamirpur from 14 October to 16 October 2016.

The U 17 Football Team of Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28 B, Chandigarh lifted the Winner’s Trophy at the Bro Meredith Football Tournament 2016-17 organised by St. John’s High School, Chandigarh from 9 to 13 August 2016 in which 16 teams from Chandigarh participated. The Saint Soldier Team reached the finals after defeating Vivek High School in the Pre Quarter Finals by 3-0. In the Quarter Final and Semi Final matches, the team continued its winning spree by beating AKSIPS 41 and hosts St. John’s High School. In the final match, the St. Soldier Team beat Strawberry Fields High School by 2-1 with both goals scored by Sachin Bisht. Rohan Mehta won the prize for Best Mid Fielder of the Tournament.

Saint Soldier International School, Sec 28 B, Chandigarh emerged victorious at 12th Annual Captain Amit Joshi Memorial Tournament held at St. Edward’s School, Shimla from 8th – 12th June, 2016 by beating St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sec 44, Chandigarh. A total of 8 schools had participated in the tournament. The Saint Soldier team also bagged the Man of the Tournament award won by Sachin Kumar. Gagan Verma was adjudged as the Best Wicket Keeper and Daljeet Hundal was the Best Fielder of the Tournament. The School Team was awarded the Trophy and Rs. 10,000 cash prize.

The 7th Saint Soldier Football Trophy culminated with a thrilling victory for hosts Saint Soldier International School, Sec 28 B, Chandigarh who beat Saint Soldier International Convent School, Mohali in a penalty shootout that resulted in a score of 4-3. The prestigious 3 day event showcased abundant football talent from 12 schools in the tricity. Playing at the home ground the host school initially dominated the game with Gaurav scoring a goal in the 11th min. Jai of the opponent team netted a goal in the 17th min. The Best Goalkeeper award went to Kapil of Saint Soldier International School, Sec 28. Arsh was awarded the Best Player trophy. Prizes were distributed by the Chairman Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh Hayer. Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu congratulated both teams for their exceptional performance.

It was a proud moment for Saint Soldier International School, Sec 28 B, Chandigarh when 18 of its Class XII Non-Medical stream students brought laurels by clearing JEE mains 2016 examination held in April 2016. Amarjeet and Shivam were the highest scorers.The dedicated students and faculty were all delighted with the achievement of the students.

13 year old Sunny Dahiya, a Class VIII student of Saint Soldier International School Chandigarh has been selected to be a part of the National U-14 Training Football Camp for the AFC (Asian Football Confederation). Only 4 players from Chandigarh have been selected for the prestigious camp after being shortlisted from the recently concluded Sub-Junior National Championship held in New Delhi. Sunny Dahiya, who plays in the forward position of striker has shown exceptional performances in the CBSE Football Clusters and National Level participation.With a keen interest in football, he has been playing the game since the age of six and has received plenty of opportunities and encouragement from the school to achieve his aim of turning into a world class player.

A Prize Distribution Function was held at Saint Soldier International School, Sec 28 B Chandigarh to give prizes to the athletes who won medals in the Inter School Athletics Tournament 2015-16 organized by Education Department, Chandigarh at Sports Complex, Sector 7 Chandigarh. The School Athletics team won 21 Gold Medals, 8 Silver Medals and 10 Bronze Medals. The Girls Team displayed an incredible performance by winning the first place in U-17 and U-19, 4X100 m relay races. The Overall Championship was won by the Girls Team while Harmanpreet Kaur of Class X was declared the Best Athlete in U-17 Girls group. The Boys U-19 group also won the gold medal in 4 X 100 m Relay. Other Gold Medal winners were Harmanpreet, Class X (100 m, 400 m, Long Jump) and Vandana Class XII (800 m, 400 m). The Principal Ms. Vijaya Sidhu congratulated all the winners and appreciated the coach Mr. Surinder Pal.

Taekwondo Championship 2015 was organised by the State Taekwondo Association, Chandigarh. In which Gurleen of Class VII won a Gold Medal and also qualified for the National games. Ankit, Class IX, Manpreet, Class X and Ansh, Class VI won bronze medals.

The school team of Saint Soldier International School Sector 28 B Chandigarh won 14 gold and 15 silver medals at the CBSE Cluster XIII Athletics Meet 2015-16 for the Northern Region held at Sports Complex Sec 46 and organised by PML SD Public School, Sector 32 Chandigarh. Over 900 athletes from North India participated in this event. The team of Amitoj, Bhupinder, Abhishek, Vikramjeet and Rukmandeep bagged the gold medal in 400 m relay while Amitoj, Bhupinder, Himmat, Vikramjeet and Shubham acquired another gold medal in 100 m relay race. Amitoj and Bhupinder secured the silver medal in 100 m and 800 m race respectively. In Under 19 Girls Category, the team of Harmanpreet, Gurleen, Eknoor, Vandana and Shivani clinched the silver medal in 400 m as well as 100 m relay race. Anmoldeep and Ashita won gold medals in Long Jump while Shivani won a silver medal. Vandana won two silver medals in 400 m and 800 m race while Harmanpreet clinched two gold medals in Triple Jump and 100 m race and was given the prize for Best Athlete in Under 19 Girls category. 12 students qualified for C.B.S.E. Athletics Nationals to be held at Raipur, Chattisgarh from 27th Dec to 30th Dec. Principal Vijaya Sidhu congratulated the achievers and the Athletics Coach Mr. Surinder Pal.

Athletes of Saint Soldier International School Sec 28 B, Chandigarh dazzled in the Junior and Sub-Junior State Athletics Championship organized by Chandigarh Athletics Association at Sports Complex, Sec 7 Chandigarh this month. The Athletics Team of the school brought laurels by winning a total of 32 medals, 10 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals. In the U-20 boys Triple Jump and 400 mts race, Arshdeep Singh bagged gold and Rukmandeep Singh bagged silver respectively. In the U-18 boys, Bhupinder procured a gold in Long Jump and silver in 100 mts. Vikramjeet bagged a gold in 800 mts & 1500 mts race. In High Jump Abhishek Mundari and Shubham Parihar got a bronze each. In the girls category Vandana Narwal won gold for 400 mts and silver in Javelin throw. Eknoor won gold for shotput and bronze for Discuss Throw. Harmanpreet Kaur bagged a gold for Long Jump and silver for 100 mts race. Amandeep Kaur clincheda silver for Discuss Throw and 200 mts race, while Shivani Beniwal bagged silver for Long Jump & bronze for 200 mts. Gurleen Kaur clinched bronze for 100 mts and Long Jump. In the U-16, Reetinder Singh won a gold in Javelin Throw, Amandeep Mattu bagged a silver in Shotput & bronze in Discuss Throw whereas Jatin Hooda added to the glory by clinching a bronze in High Jump. In the girls category, Shikha Thakur won a gold in both Shotput & Javelin Throw. In the U-14 boys Shobit clinched a gold in long Jump whereas Anmol and Sunny Dahiya bagged a bronze each in the same event.

At the Inter School Athletics Tournament organized by UT Education Department at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh from Jan 14 to Jan 17, 2015, the Athletics team of St Soldier International School, Sec 28 B, Chandigarh brought laurels to the school by winning 15 gold, 16 silver and 8 bronze medals. In the Boys U-19 Discus Throw and Javelin Throw, Mandeep Singh bagged the gold. The U-19 gold medal winners were Vikramjit Singh for 400m and Vandana for 800m. In the girls U-17 category Harmanpreet Kaur clinched the gold for 400m, Shikha won the gold in Shotput and Javelin Throw. The Boys U-19 Relay Team of Amitoj, Himmat, Gurinderjit, Sumit and Bhupinder won the Gold Medal in 4X100m and 4X400m event. The U-19 Girls Relay Team of Nikita, Ridhima, Shivani and Vandana bagged the silver medal in 4X100 m event. The U-17 Girls Relay Team of Harmanpreet, Pallavi, Kashish and Sanskriti won the silver in 4X100m. Silver Medals were won by Bhupinder and Amitoj for 100 and 200m, Amandeep for Shotput, Bhupinder for 800m, Harmanpreet for Long jump and Sanskriti for Triple jump. Bronze Medals were won by Nikita and Gurinderjit Singh for Long Jump and Triple jump, Shubham and Vikramjit Singh for 400 and 200m.Both boys and girls team bagged the Runner up Trophies.
